The Place I Would Like to Visit

There are many interesting and wonderous places to visit in the United States. If I had my pick to which place I would visit, it would be Nashville Tennessee. Nashville is known for its green landscape and country music. I was almost born in Nashville, so I have a little connection there. I also have family who live there. Nashville has many other things to do besides country music and farming though!

There are several tourist attractions in Nashville, one of which is the Parthenon. This is a huge attraction, which is located in the center of the central park. The Parthenon is a valuable part of the park, where there are many activities to do. I have been hiking only a couple times, and would love to go hiking or camping in the huge parks, and country side of Nashville. Nashville is known for its variety of country music events. It is the heart of country music in the making.

Another attraction in Nashville is its well known college, called Vanderbuilt University. My dad did his doctors residency here and my uncle attended college there. I hope to apply here when it is time to look at colleges. Another site near Nashville is the city called, Knoxville, which is the home of the Tennessee's state college. Nashville is a wonderful place to visit, because there are so many activities to do there.

Jon Krakaeur

Jon Krakaeur was born in Oregon, and was first introduced to hiking and camping by his father. He is the author of many popular books like, Into the Wild and countless others. He was very outdoor oriented throughout his life, contributing to the theme of the outdoors in his books. This is shown through him writing his book, Climbing Mount Everest. This is a book about his hard climb to the top of one of the highest peaks in the world. Krakaeur wrote for a outdoor magazine at one point and now lives with his wife in Seattle, Washington.

Into the Wild

Into the Wild by Jon Krakaeur, comes across as an outdoor and adventurous book. I find it very amazing that it is based on a true story. The author's work seems thrilling and well written. Since the main character goes out into the wilderness of Alaska it makes me remember the time I went camping. I loved going camping and hiking, this is one reason I am very excited to read the book. The plot of the story is almost a mystery that leads to more thrills. The thrill that comes across to be in the story, always keeps the reader interested. I look forward to reading the book and learning more about this interesting characters story.

Dream Paragraph

I have many dreams that I remember, but the most vivid dream of all was about the Pope and my best friend from middle school. The dream was set in Maryland, and the Pope had just returned from outer space. The news was that the World was about to end like in the movie 2012. I was running around with my friends trying to get help and collect our families. I went to see the Pope, and he told me that God had sent a spaceship to take us to another planet. He told me that I can choose five people to take with me. I chose four of my friends and retrieved them. When I went to get my fifth friend, I was unable to convince her to come. She was possessed by the devil and would not believe anything I said. I was unable to bring her with me. After everyone was on the spaceship, we wished the Pope goodbye and flew off. As we left the atmosphere, we watched the World burn. When we reached the other planet, I woke up startled.
