Caesar vs. Brutus

Different
Caesar-
- Was a strong military leader
-Does not respect his wife and treats her as he is above her
- He is a very influential person at the time
- He is greedy and thinks of himself, he is pompous
- H does not think for Rome, but instead wants what may benefit him

Brutus-
- Was not a military leader figure
- Respected his wife and looked at her fairly, respected her opinion
- His intentions are towards a Roman Republic, he cares about Romes well being
- Part of a conspiracy against Caesar
- He is not very influential during the begining of the play

Same-
- Each character is manipulative
-They are both very sure of themselves, and feel they know what they want
- They are both determined to get their agenda done, they would stop at nothing
- They both are senators
- Both do not have heirs

-

Tragic Heroes Flaws

Brutus- he did not think the plot to kill Caesar, put the good of Rome before his friendship, his devotion to Rome got his wife killed, he was very neive when it came to the other conspirators motive
Caesar-he let his power go to his head, he thought he was invincible, he felt everyone liked him and they would do no harm, he was to pompous to listen to Calphernia
